The Main version is a version with Mods menu allowing you to adjust manually incoming and outgoing damage. Highly recommended to use it in conjunction with Quen Rebalanced What that effectively mean is much faster combat with enemies dying in a few hits, but also enemies being able to kill you in a few hits, so no more left mouse button spamming to win - you have to think how to approach enemies, use signs, dodge, parry, use potions, food etc. The current version with Mods menu allows to select from 10 to 100% incoming and outgoing damage boost for player and every other NPC. All it does is adjusting global damage variable by fixed multiplier. The cast and travel time on the primary attack is easier to aim against AI, with Rain of Bolts offering a safe way to deal with packs of enemies. How to use CrossbowsĪs the only ranged weapon, Crossbows can be used to great effect against in PvE. Fires a bolt that deals 75% physical damage, interrupts casts, and snares for 2 seconds. Fires 5 bolts at target location, dealing 40% physical damage each in an AOE and snaring targets for 1.5 seconds. Primary attacks in this state do 80% physical damage and incapacitate for 3 seconds. Turn invisible, increasing movement speed for 3 seconds. Dash forwards before returning back, dealing 60% physical damage and snaring for 2 seconds both times. With Howling Reaper lingering after use, it's possible to use another weapons first technique to stack damage. While the projectile is being launched, it slows enemies when hit. Launches circular AOE to target location, dealing 20% physical damage every 0.25 seconds for 2.5 seconds. Deals 125% damage in a small AOE around you, knocking enemies back and snaring for 2 seconds. Can be ended early by using the technique again, performing a thrust attack that deals 50% physical damage and knocks enemies back. Stabs 8 times in front of the player for 30% physical damage each. Primary Attack: 40% / 40% / 50% physical damage Primary attacks can also be cancelled into techniques to negate some of the swing animation. Mace is the slowest melee weapon in V Rising, so it's best paired with abilities that can shield or incapacitate enemies. Cone AOE swing (slightly larger that the primary attack combo) dealing 50% physical damage, knocking enemies and incapacitating them for 1.2 seconds. Performs a short jump before slamming down in a small AOE, dealing 110% physical damage and snaring enemies for 2 seconds. Primary Attack: 50% / 50%/ 60% physical damage. X-Strike requires some prediction to get the full benefits, as its projectiles have a decent amount of travel time. The slow swings of the primary attack can be negated by Frenzy, with X-Strike allowing for both high damage and crowd control if aimed properly.
